太阳城官网 is proud to announce its 110th commencement ceremony, taking place on Friday, May 10th, 2024, at 7:00 pm at Memorial Stadium on the BC Panorama campus. This momentous occasion will celebrate the achievements of over 3200 graduates, marking a significant milestone for both the college and the Bakersfield community.

The graduating class boasts a diverse range of accomplishments. Included are students from the Early College program, earning their associate's degrees while still in high school. Additionally, 17 graduates will receive a Baccalaureate of Science in Industrial Automation, representing the 7th graduating cohort from BC's successful 4-year degree program.  Over 800 students have been admitted to CSUB this fall, highlighting the college's strong transfer pathways. These achievements exemplify 太阳城官网's commitment to providing efficient and diverse educational pathways in high-demand career fields and facilitating successful transfers to four-year institutions.

This year's commencement holds a special significance. It marks not only 110 years of institutional excellence and a legacy of accomplished Renegade graduates, but it is also the first ceremony under the leadership of Dr. Jerry E. Fliger, BC's newly appointed president. Dr. Fliger brings a wealth of experience and a strong dedication to academic excellence and student success.  His arrival ushers in a promising new chapter for the college, characterized by growth, innovation, and even deeper community engagement.

The evening ceremony will culminate with a spectacular fireworks display. This celebratory finale serves as a resounding tribute to the countless hours of hard work, perseverance, and dedication exhibited by the graduating class, a testament to their unwavering commitment to achieving their academic goals.

The ceremony will be livestreamed for those unable to attend in person. The broadcast will be available on the 太阳城官网 website and YouTube channel starting at 7:00PM on May 10th.

In addition to the main commencement program, the 太阳城官网 community will celebrate the Class of 2024 with a series of pre-commencement Affinity Group events scheduled for May 10th, 2024:
